Our Story
30 Years in the Industry
NYC Jewelers of Westport is a small, family-owned and operated business founded by Morris Afkari, a certified gemologist with over 30 years of experience in fine jewelry, diamonds, gold, and antiques.
Starting on 47th Street in New York City’s Diamond District in the late 1980s, we built our roots from the ground up through hands-on work in the jewelry trade. Over the years, our work has taken us throughout New York City, New England, and beyond, dealing in fine diamonds, antique jewelry, and estate collections while working with manufacturers in Italy and Hong Kong and attending jewelry shows around the world.
Today, NYC Jewelers proudly serves Fairfield County with a vast collection of fine estate jewelry, diamonds, antiques, and rare pieces backed by decades of industry experience. Along with buying jewelry, we offer appraisals, evaluations, repairs, custom designing, and repurposing for clients looking to sell or redesign their jewelry.
