Victorian 14K Yellow Gold Amethyst Garnet Locket Pendant

A functioning Victorian Revival 14K yellow gold garnet and ruby locket pendant, circa 1900s. Featuring a star-shaped central plaque with a hand-engraved Florentine finish giving the surface a textured matte appearance. Centered with one oval cut natural violet Amethyst weighing approximately 4.00 CT, set in a four-prong mounting and accented by six round cut natural red garnets set within ornate scalloped scrollwork around the sides, reminiscent of leaves or livery. The interior and reverse of the locket are finished with a uniform hammered texture. Measuring approximately 43.00 × 31.00 × 11.00 mm. Gross weight of 13.00 grams. Chain not included.
