An original vintage 14K yellow gold sapphire bee brooch pendant. Designed with a three-dimensional, lifelike form, the thorax and abdomen are pavé set with approximately 20 round brilliant cut natural deep blue sapphires weighing approximately 2.00 CT in total, creating a rich contrast against the polished gold legs and head. The wings are textured and cast with an openwork honeycomb pattern, while the body is supported by six articulated legs. A hoop beneath the head allows the piece to also be worn as a pendant. Signed with a stylized “W” and stamped “14K” and “585”. Measuring approximately 25.00 × 29.00 × 11.00 mm. Gross weight of 6.00 grams.
